The land down under...

Well, its been over a month since I went for my trip but hey I'm still gonna talk about it. You can't stop me now can you? I know, I'm hopeless when it comes to blogging! The last time I had a blog, it just had an opening note..and thats it so this is definitely an improvement.

I went to the Land Down Under recently. I loved every moment of it. The highlight was of course meeting my nephews that I have not seen for the past 3 years. I really missed them. Daveen, my second nephew was such a sweetie coz the minute he saw his mum's car pull up the driveway, he came rushing out to hug me. Koven came a little later but of course in his little manner that showed that he was the older one and had to behave like an adult. Well, watever it is they are just the cutest ones.

My first outing was to watch my nephews play friendly football matches against another team at a field nearby. It was so much fun seeing them Owen wannabes running around trying to kick the ball into the goal.

Springvale was a surprise! I counted and I am pretty sure I did not go over 100. Yes, I counted the Caucasians in the area and I swear I thought I was in Petaling Street. Roasted pigs hanging everywhere and the smell of char siew was at every other corner. My brother-in-law bought all the seafood he could find and when we got home, he made the most amazing steamed crabs ever! Geezzz...no wonder my sister doesn't have to learn how to cook!

Ballarat was good. Went there with Raz and her family. Little boy was at his behaviour so we had a good time there going into the gold mine and we even tried to pan for gold but nope..no luck! Oh!Oh!Oh! I held a gold bar that was worth 80,000 bucks! Well, to some ppl it may not mean a thing but to me, it was the most I had touched in my entire life!

Great Ocean Road was amazing. I wished we had time to just stop and enjoy the beeeeeautiful view but we needed to get to the 12 apostles before it became dark. It was a pity that it was raining when we got there so we missed out on walking towards the apostles so we took the helicopter instead! Yeah, the chopper ride was amazing but it hurt my pockets of course!

The next day after Great Ocean Road, I just slept! Yeah, some of you may think why I wasted my time sleeping but hey its a holiday and mine on top of it so I guess I can spend it however I want. Oh and then the shopping began! It was heaven for me! Everything was nice and cheap..but on top of it all EVERYTHING FIT me so right!

The highlight of my trip was meeting Sumi! We had a great time catching up. We went to St. Kilda and oh we had the most amazing breakfast with an out of this world cappucino. We walked along the streets in St Kilda and of course us being us, we decided to pig out at the bakery which had almost everything you can think of eating. The day ended real fast..and it was time for me to leave the land. I rushed back and thanks to the ever so efficient transportation in the country, I got home on time, showered, packed and off I went to the Tullamarine Airport. I came back with a heavy heart but I guess I will see my nephews soon at the end of August.

Hopefully, I will make it to the land down under soon...I really love the country!

Lunatics Alike..

I made it...

Okay, to tell u the truth...I had a blog earlier with one entry and forgot about it totally till I tried to create one again today. Why the sudden urge..well I gotta blame this one solely on peer pressure and nothing else. These peers have been my emotional spine, and I'm grateful to God for letting our paths meet and hope this leads to a never ending journey...
